What you get
Features
Everything WhizArts gives makers and storytellers: a profile that works as a blog, categories, topics, RSS feeds, long-read posts and reviewed comments.
WhizArts is built on a simple hunch: the best way to share a craft is to show the work. Below is everything a writer gets from the first post, and everything a reader can do without signing up for anything at all.
01Profiles
Your profile is your studio
Every writer gets a blog at /your-handle/: one address that holds a whole body of work, from the first sketchy experiment to the polished long read.
A face and a few lines
Add a portrait and a short bio so readers know who is behind the work. Add a link to your own website and curious readers can follow you there.
Shelves you name yourself
Split your blog into the categories that make sense to you: tutorials, field notes, recipes, experiments. Each one gets its own page.
A pinned “start here”
Put a short curated introduction at the top of your profile that points newcomers to your best pieces and the links that matter.
02Posts
Posts that show the process
A good how-to is half pictures and half patience. Posts on WhizArts are made for walking someone through the steps.
Cover images
Lead with the finished piece, or with the glorious mess on the workbench. Every post can carry its own cover image.
Photos in the flow
Drop images between paragraphs to show each stage. Images are hosted on WhizArts, right next to your words.
Contents for long reads
Longer posts get a table of contents automatically, so a reader can jump straight to step four.
Every accent intact
Write in Vietnamese or any language with diacritics. Every ạ, ầ, ờ and đ renders exactly the way you typed it.
03Discovery
Easy to find, easy to follow
Readers can come in through a person or through an idea, and keep up in whatever app they already use.
Topics across the community
Tag posts with topics and they join a shared page where readers can explore one subject through several voices.
RSS for everyone
Each writer has a feed at /handle/feed.xml, and the whole site has one at /feed.xml. No app required.
Fast, plain pages
Pages are server-rendered HTML and CSS: quick to load, comfortable on a phone, nothing to install.
Links that are just links
Point readers to your own website and to your sources. Links in posts are ordinary links.
04Comments
Conversations with care
Feedback is part of making things. We keep the comment section friendly by keeping a human in the loop.
Comment without an account
Readers type a name and a comment. That is it: no sign-up, no email address.
A moderator in the loop
Guest comments wait for review and appear once a moderator approves them. Ones that are never approved are deleted after 30 days.
No trackers watching
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts. Readers get no cookies at all.
05Ownership
Your work stays yours
Publishing here does not mean handing anything over.
You keep ownership
Writers own what they publish. WhizArts only needs permission to host it, show it and share it through feeds.
Leave whenever you like
Ask us to take down a single post or your whole blog through the contact page, and we will remove it.
